With tennis weather just around the corner, local clubs and parks in Middle States are prepping for action on the courts. But some area organizations are already on-board for tennis this March, regardless of the thermometer.
Organizations from New Jersey to Pittsburgh will host a total of 28 Tennis Festivals in March, with more than 1,000 taking place across the country. March’s Tennis Festivals kickoff the tennis season and showcase the fun and excitement of tennis for families, hoping to get kids and parents hooked. Tennis Festivals welcome entire families to play tennis at all skill levels and include a variety of interactive tennis games, contests, fun exhibitions and tennis activities that appeal to all ages and skill levels.
Frog Hollow in Lansdale, Pa., will host the first Tennis Festival in Middle States in conjunction with Tennis Night in America, which takes place Monday night at Madison Square Garden. This year, featured matchups during Tennis Night in America include Rafael Nadal vs. Juan Martin Del Potro and Serena Williams vs. Victoria Azarenka.
Tennis Festivals are organized by schools, parks, youth centers, colleges and tennis facilities. Organizations looking to host March Tennis Festivals can still register their events online at www.youthtennis.com.
