Even with a snowstorm knocking on Philadelphia’s door, Mylan World TeamTennis (Mylan WTT) announced Wednesday morning the season’s full 2013 schedule, once again bringing high-level pro tennis back to Middle States in July.
League officials released a 59-match schedule for the three-week season, beginning with matches on July 7 and wrapping up regular season action July 24. The Mylan WTT Finals, presented by GEICO, will take place Sunday, July 28.
Highlights from the Freedoms’ home schedule include matches against stars Andy Roddick (Springfield Lasers, July 10), the Bryan Brothers (Texas Wild, July 21) and John McEnroe (The New York Sportimes, July 24). The Freedoms’ roster will include rising American star Sloane Stephens during home matches on July 16 and July 17.
The Freedoms, now in their second year under coach and Philadelphia native Josh Cohen, will play all home matches on Villanova University’s campus at The Pavilion.
Freedoms 2013 season tickets are available now, and individual match tickets go on sale March 18. Season ticket holders enjoy the benefits of tickets to each of the seven Philadelphia Freedoms home games, reserved parking, a separate, private entrance into the arena, and more. Further information about season tickets is available online or by phone at 215-667-8132.
