Early-Start Ratings are used for USTA League tennis where players begin registration and match play prior to the publication of Year-End ratings. The lists are below (alphabetically by last name).
If you are trying to register for mixed doubles and would like to appeal, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are registering for a winter adult league and you need to appeal, a link to the appeal form will display during registration.
For players 65 years old and older, the year-end rating will not publish higher than the player’s last rating. For early-start ratings, you will see whatever the last dynamic rating earned by the player. Any player who is 65 years of age or older who would like to play in a fall league at his prior year rating should send an e-mail to email@example.com to have this rating appealed on the team roster. If players in category are not playing in a fall league, look for year-end ratings to come out in early December.
If you are not currently registering for a team, please do not appeal your early-start rating. After the year-end ratings are published in early December, you may appeal automatically on line by going to TennisLink and logging into your home page. You will see Appeal Rating on your home page at the right.
Why is my name not listed in the early-start ratings?
- If you played mixed doubles only in 2015, your name will not be on the list.
- If you did not play on any team in 2015, your name will not be on the list.
- If you did not play enough matches, your name will not be on the list.
If your name is not on this list, you will most likely be able to use your most current rating. In some cases, you may be asked to self-rate. If you have any questions, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you join a mixed doubles team and your rating level on the team is incorrect, please e-mail email@example.com to get your rating adjusted on your team’s roster.
