Take a look at what some of our players have to say about the experience of USTA League Tennis and local and championship play.

“It gives you the opportunity to realistically compete while also providing a fun team format. I’ve met so many good people through USTA. It’s has been a most rewarding tennis odyssey!”
-Sean Lowery – Philadelphia, 4.0

“I’ve met great people and remained in contact with them on and off the court. Overall, league tennis is a team effort. Some days you are not playing well, but the team can bail you out.”
-Bill Baumer – Central Pa., 3.0

“It will improve your game, and it can be a great way to meet some amazing people.”
-Andrea Mangan – New Jersey, 4.0

“Team tennis has been a huge part of my life since I joined 6 years ago. I never imagined that I would be a part of a competitive team at this stage of my life. I’ve grown as a tennis player and my family of tennis friends has become a well treasured part of my life.”
-Kathy Radic, Allegheny Mountain, 4.0

“Teams remind you that there are individuals coming together for a similar goal; to get better and win together is icing.”
– Maureen McElrone, Central Pa., 3.5

On traveling to National Championships

“I went to nationals in 2010 and 2013. I’ve played since 2009. For me, personally, just being out on the west coast. I had never been out there before. For an east coast guy, it was an eye opener. Indian Wells is unbelievable. I didn’t want to leave.”
-Jeff Stewart, New Jersey

“National Championships was absolutely a great experience. It involves careful planning, timing, absolute hard work and honestly, a bit of luck. Talent at the highest level common and dedication to the sport is easily seen on the court. I am very fortunate and lucky to have gone two years in a row along with my friends that I met through tennis, Mike Hodge and Doug Oas. I will remember the journey to Nationals for a lifetime!”
-Chang Lee, New Jersey

“I have been quite fortunate to be at Nationals in 2012 and 2013, so this is the third-year in a row for me. Each time has been an incredible experience for me personally and for my teams. The atmosphere at Nationals is electric – the quality of tennis is of course very high and one gets to meet so many dedicated and die-hard tennis players from all over the country in a competitive yet friendly forum. The chance to compete for the National title is an honor and a privilege.”
-Immac J. Thampoe, New Jersey
