USTA League Squads Aim for Nationals

Teams from across the Middle States Section have waited months for this weekend.

USTA Adult 40 & Over Section Championships kick off in multiple New Jersey locations on Friday, Sept. 5, running through Sunday, Sept. 7. The championship brings together teams from across the Section, which qualified for the event by winning their respective District Championships. District Championships took place earlier this summer across sites in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Winning teams from this weekend’s event will receive the title of Section Champions and advance to the National Championships in Arizona or California, depending on the division played.

USTA League Tennis is a competitive, team-based match play format designed for all players 40 and older and of all skill level. Teams are generally made up of approximately eight players, depending on the division played, and all matches are played against those of a similar skill level.

Teams will compete in both singles and doubles this weekend.
