The seventh-annual 2017 Conrad Weiser Hits for Hope Tennis Tournament took place in Robesonia, Pa. from June 17-25th 2017. And while tennis was certainly front-and-center, it wasn’t the most important part of the event.

The tournament, which is the largest in Pennsylvania, raised $5,000 for underprivileged youth through the YMCA of Reading and Berks County. The event brought in 231 players in 33 draws.
Hits for Hope week also included the third annual Run for Hope 5k, Hits for Hope Kids Day Clinic, Berks County High school all-star match and the Berks County Night of Champions Gala/Awards Night. The gala honored Berks County Tennis Hall of Fame inductees Larry Zerbe and the Blakely Family, as well as the Merv Heller Memorial Scholarship, among others.
