Thirty-one teams representing 18 different colleges and universities across the Middle States Section converged at New Jersey’s Mercer County Park over the weekend to compete in the Tennis On Campus Section Championships.
At the end of the two-day tournament, Penn State took home the title and earned the right to compete at the USTA Tennis On Campus National Championships, which will take place in April 2019. Middle States received four total bids for the 2019 Nationals in Surprise, Arizona. Penn State will be joined by University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University and Princeton University.
USTA Tennis On Campus is designed to provide college students with a host of opportunities for team camaraderie, social networking and unrivaled competition through tennis — without the demands of a varsity program.
