What is Gold Cup?
Gold Cup is the USTA Middle States Philadelphia Area District’s exclusive, award-winning discount junior tennis program serving Intermediate and Advanced level junior athletes in the Philadelphia tri-county area. The program’s purpose is to prepare young athletes for High School team tennis and tournament level play.
What does Gold Cup cost and what do you get?
The cost of the program for 2020 is just $155. For that fee, every student receives 10 weeks of clinics, a tee shirt and an opportunity to compete in a preseason JTT Team Tournament (fee $5) and a season-ending Gold Cup Singles Tournament (fee $5). The Tournaments are only for registered Gold Cup players. [All players are required to have a junior USTA membership. Where are the Gold Cup Training sessions?
Gold Cup training is offered at a variety of clubs conveniently located across the USTA MS Philadelphia Area Tennis District. ** Classes begin January 10-12, 2020 and run 10 weeks, ending March 13-15, 2020.
Participating clubs include but are not limited to Great Valley, Gulph Mills, Kinetix, Legacy, Magarity, Radnor Racquet, Springton and Tennis Addiction.
Win the logo contest, receive a free session!
Each year, there is a contest for junior tennis players to submit a logo with the words, “PATD Gold Cup” and the year in a tennis-themed design. The winner is chosen by the PATD Council and wins a free season of Gold Cup! Their design is used on the t-shirts, the website and any flyers!! The 2019 winner was Alyssa Rokhvarg.
