USTA Middle States is pleased to welcome Kevin Wang as an intern at the Valley Forge office. Kevin will work primarily with the Community Development department alongside Renee Bridges, Middle States Sr. Manager of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Outreach, but will gain valuable experiences in all areas of Middle States. Kevin is interning in the USTA MS office as part of the senior internship program that Conestoga High School conducts each year.
A senior at Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pa., Kevin will graduate this June and plans to study engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) this fall. He also hopes to play on the tennis team at MIT, which is currently ranked No. 28 in the nation in the NCAA Division III tennis rankings.
Kevin first began playing tennis when he was 8, and started competing in USTA tournaments at age 10. Last summer, he reached his highest ranking in Middle States – No. 4 in the Boys’ 18 singles. He represented Middle States as a part of four Zone Teams, and last year’s 18s National Team. Kevin led his high school tennis team to an undefeated season and its first ever State Championship last year, as well.
“I look forward to working with everyone for the next month and gaining valuable experience in the office, as well as in the field,” said Kevin. “I can’t wait to get started.”
