Premier Provider Spotlight: Upper Dublin Sports Center

Not a day goes by that Upper Dublin Sports Center (UDSC) isn’t buzzing with activity. Between tennis lessons, USTA League matches, clinics and its newest initiative, quick start programs for beginner adults.

Earlier this year, UDSC was named a USTA Middle States Premier Provider. The purpose of the Premier Provider distinction is to recognize facilities and organizations that utilize many of the programs the USTA offers for its communities, including 10 and Under Tennis, USTA Jr. Team Tennis, Tennis On Campus, USTA League Tennis, tournaments, education and workshops, blended lines and other efforts in the community.

UDSC sits on nearly 10 acres of land, with 15 tennis courts (both indoor and outdoor), a viewing area to all indoor courts, outdoor fields, swimming pools, back boards and more.

Recently, UDSC has placed a special emphasis on beginner adults. Quick Start Tennis is the perfect way to introduce new adults to tennis, using a similar approach to beginner children – with low compression balls and shorter courts to learn technique. It also provides beginning adults with a low-pressure, fun environment to learn.

The 2.5 Drill & Play sessions allow those beginners to continue improving on the fundamentals of the game, along with other players at their skill level.

UDSC’s emphasis is not solely on adults, however. There are offerings for juniors as well, from clinics, to private lessons, to match play opportunities. There is also a summer camp that is currently enrolling for junior players.

Whether you’re a beginner or high-level player looking for more competitive opportunities, UDSC has something to offer.
